The shows were posted each week within days of airing.
They have now all been re encoded and sorted to a set standard - every show is the exact same quality level and same source so there are no discrepancies of volume, quality, etc. between the shows.
You will find them all at 320K/bps VBR @44,000Hz, Full Stereo MP3.
I will be keeping this page replenished with the older season one shows and would ask that you leave a comment to keep me sane :). From the double special episode of #50, the season ended and then went into a long break. On the return, we have season two.

I've been one of the more erm, severe cases...not trying to get sympathy just telling the facts: I like to help out people who have been recently diagnosed or are having trouble coping with feeling so ill as I am somewhat of an old hand at it. been unwell continually for 11years..been diagnosed for about 22years so you see what I'm saying! had more major surgeries than I can count too. One thing though! Doing stuff like this is therapeutic for sure and it's always good to get positive comments so cheers.

Not trying to be clever or moan here but just out of interest...this seems to have taken me just about the whole day to do these files! I can hardly believe it myself but it's true! I started downloading the FLAC files early this afternoon and it is now 11.25PM and I still have links to add as I am now uploading to the freehosting sites.
NOTE: That is the part I really need you to read: 'I am now uploading'.
So, I know there are a lot of links not YET working for file 24 as I always try to post the page with the first few links, so that you at least can grab a working one right away, without having to wait for me to post all of the load of links I post!

BTW, re your illness, I'd never heard of this condition (touch wood) before I read about you, and then in a recent edition of Q, I read that one of the guys (Mike(?))in Pearl Jam suffered from the same condition although in a relatively mild form.

Hey Bel, nice to see you here once again. thanks for the comments mate...yes, the illness: It's something you live with and get used to, MOST of the time but then sometimes it ups the anti a bit. Meaning the daily pain you get yourself used to seems to have a volume level switch on it and it starts to turn itself up...and up...etc. Lately it is just pretty much on unbearable at times and so needless to say the website and other web related stuff just gets all disorganized and confusing!
I am still determined to bring the BD shows to people but I am saddened that the other stuff I love to post on the site isn't quite making it here. I just don't have the mental capacity either(another thing it affects) to get the albums sorted, named and uploaded etc.
I keep plugging away though and I hope at some point that the volume will turn itself down a bit. Usually when it gets so bad, it results in surgery to remove the inflamed area of intestine (which obviously I would prefer not to have to have!). I have had that done 6 times in my life and apart from it being major soul-fucking surgery, it also leaves you with less left to digest food with...not a good situation!
Anyway...enough!

Tell you what to do ok:
Learn how to use Bit torrent. Then go to bt.dylantree.com and download the few hundred Mb files of the show each week. It's no secret. Then when you have all of those seperate FLAC files (split p just the way you like em!) you can convert them to MP3 in good high bitrate so it isn't a complete waste of time, then you can upload them to at least 5 or 6 servers and make them available for people who have nothing better to do than turn around and complain that you are not doing it right.

Hey 'Weed', the password is definitely correct. Make sure you use UPPERCASE and lowercase like so: MP3@3pm.
If still not working, redownload the part that gives an error when you opened it. Winrar can claim a bad password when it is actually a corrupt file, damaged during transfer to your PC.

for some reason i keep gettig error messages when i try to decompress episode #34. i tried all the servers and it's the same thing across the board. hope i'm not doing anything stupid. i'm having no luck this one. any suggestions?
OK mate, to give you the benefit of the doubt I am currently downloading the file from spread-it.com....I will report back to you to let youi know if the file is corrupted on their server¬!
If it isn't then I am afraid the problem is with you somehow. Try the latest trial of winrar archiver or even the leatest version of winzip to unrar thew files....and the password MUST be lower and uppercase:

Sorry...well, not really SORRY but I must inform you that the file I downloaded from the spread-it server was perfectly fine and opened without a problem!
You must make sure the password is upper and lowercase letters and also if it complains about a password being wrong after you KNOW you are using the right one, then it got corrupted during your download. You need to redownload it in that case.
Are you on a slow connection maybe?
I highly recommend the spread-it server link as you can RESUME a download if you get disconnected for some reason which is perfect for modem users or if you get frequent disconnects.
You could also try a more recent version of winrar and then install it, extract the file with that but I assure you the files are fine and I haven't changed the program or the way I compress and upload them!

Sorry but I join all of the seperate tracks together for convenience!
If you really want to, you can get the files whereI get them, they are in FLAC format and are much larger because of it. (uncompressed virtually though!)
Then you could just encode them to MP3 one by one and not joined together.

OK, firstly you must realise that the UPPER and lower case letters are important for the password to be correct! so copy and paste the following:

Recetely the BBC have started having these shows...I haven't looked into it since they began doing it but I listen to lots of other BBC streams and they are generally realplayer and 32K bitrate or maybe a little higher if you're lucky. So I think I still provide a service worth doing!

Thanks for this, this is great, managed to snare a bunch of Bob's shows to listen to in my car (w/o having to get satellite radio!).
But after downloading a few, I get an error message -- I waited a few days but still get it. When dl should begin, screen goes blank and I get an error message.

Hey anonymous, you aren't really giving me any details at all so I haven't much to go on!
The links all lead to various different hosting servers so there could be any number of reasons why a page would be blank. Perhaps that particular host was down for servicing that day (I know mediafire was down but is now back).
Anyway when you say 'when DL should begin, screen goes blank and I get an error message' what exactly do you mean mate?
I need details so give me the foollowing:
1)The url in the addressbar when you are get this error.
2) You say 'when DL should begin' - what do you mean, is it when you've pressed a button, clicked a link or what..help me out?!
3) when you say 'screen goes blank' do you mean the page you are on disappears..or comes back with a page not found?
4) I need the wording of the error please!
I would love to help you but only if I have those details will i know what to do ok!
I recommend simply trying a different link for the show you are after. Each show has multiple links for it. Each link option is taking you to a different place where the file is stored so that you should be able to download it, whatever problem one of the hosting sites give you. Of course, if you get the same error no matter which hosting site link you click then the problem would have to be yours and not with the site!
Always check you have javascript enabled in browser settings.
Allow popups for the following
paylesssofts.net and allow depositfiles.com to open a single popup when you click the link there too.
I can think of nothing else really. Hope you get it sorted!

Hi HitMe and all. Am havin trouble with show #22. I follow the links through to rapidshare but the filesize stated is 0 bytes. When i download, it only downloads 300 an odd bytes and not the rar or mp3. Any ideas out there? I've tried all the links. Cheers. Ta for the shows.

Firstly, the shows are all postred at different servers, not just megaupload....keep trying. if you cannot get them EMAIL me please. My eamil is found in my profile, a link of which is on the main page.

You need to try and actually download that file...whatever size it is! It is actuslly about 1k not 0k but it IS the right file. Just get it and look inside!
All is revealed when you open it with the usual password!

Great site - love the Bob Dylans - did you know that the BBC are cutting each programme to fit them into a 55min time slot, instead of allowing for the full hour?
On most occasions, they start Bob's commentary after each track a few seconds before the XM-transmitted ones.
I checked one BBC broadcast, and Bob's words came in as soon as the final line of one particular song had finished. On your file there were at least thirty seconds of instrumental after the final line before Bob's voice came in.
So please keep doing what you're doing, as you are providing the internet world with the Full Monty!
(BTW the only link I am having trouble with is Show 25. Both links go to Rapidshare, which refuses me access and says that I've entered the wrong 4-digit verification code too many times! Any chance of a link to Megaupload for this one? Many thanks!!)

Not sure what you mean but if you can wait a few days I will add a further location for some of those as they are the few shows that are hosted at megaupload only. (#14 and #32 I mean - if you are confused about the links for #20 and others then PLEASE: Read and follow the link I gave in the comment just above yours on this page to Erik!)

I was missing those 4 shows - i've now realised that even if it says N/A in the file name (very rare) that the file is actually available.Shows what can happen when you assume things !!.

Hey no prob mate. Glad you got it sorted.
Some of the earlier shows are lower quality brecause it took me a while to realise the importance of getting better ones. So I am going a hunting soon to get hiqh quality of ALL of them. Not sure if they are even available but... well you'll see me mention it anyway if I find them or not!

Tried all the links for episode 44 and got the dreaded "Can't find the server" message from my browser.
I just tested all of the links that both the last two comments have reported and they are WORKING I have to tell you folks!
I think there might have beena problem with the paylesssofts site but its OK now.
anyway the files are all still uploaded and the links are live. If you have a problem with paylesssofts then there are also lix.in protected links too. you really have to keep trying every possible link if you get a problem.
Bear in mind that these files are downloaded huindreds of times a day and only a couple or so people have a problem so it is usually something simple like you needing to allow the sites into your 'trusted sites' of internet explorer or allow a popup window when you click each link on the way to downloading the file.
anyway I will help you with one of them...hehe

I also figured out how to get Episode 22 - I hadn't believed that the 270KB file would contain the Radio Show...
Anyway, my description of the Links problem was incorrect; the Links for Episode 20 ARE working, but will only allow you to get 0KB download - perhaps you noticed that, too? (all 4 links, by the way)

I see what you are saying but...don't take this wrongly but, Why can't people would READ through some other comments first before just going ahead and saying links don't work.
I have covered it many times that the links are to files with TEXT files inside.
I suppose it just totally surprises me that people won't go ahead and download the file regardless of its size...it seems the obvious thing to me.
Anyway I am glad you got them eventually honest! :)
So if there are any others you still (think) you cannot get, go back and get them and next time don't assume so readily!

Yeah, assuming that they won't work when they just show 0KB is wrong - but I've seen so many Rapidshare files get deleted that it's sort of normal to assume they ain't there anymore. Sorry.

Have read all the previous comments and have managed to download the zip and retrieve the enclosed txt file but don't understand where to go from there?? Soz, not been at this long. The file link worked (which is how people could tell me it was the wrong episode) but it wasn't the right episode.
Just read that FAQ page as you will need to know it for when I post the right one!

Hey belubettlo, nice to hear from you mate. weird but I was just trying to go through a mountain of gmails yesterday and I found that one I sent and you replied to and of course realised I never continued after that, funny you should write today :)
I have read a few rumours around, you too probably, that Bob won't be doing the show after this but I am convinced it is just a break. Like you say, end of season break. The only thing I am going on to make me come to that conclusion is the shows themselves: He obviopusly really enjoys doing them, you can hear it in every word in every show!
no way he would want to stop doing them..and no way anyone would be telling him to stop either so...it will carry on.

You know, I have NEVER seen Dylan play any time he has come over here. My Dad on the other hand..he was at the Budokan (album) concert, he has seen him more times than I can remember. I did have a chance when he came here a couple of years ago...or thereabouts(?!) but I was just too damn ill to go. The ticket went to my sister! Damn her.
What you say about these shows and links, etc is so true! Sometimes it seems like such a lot to do! But it is fun, especially when you see the page updated!

Thanks Lilo. You can be 100% sure to get the shows from here in september and onwards.
The break will give mt the chance to do what I have been planning: I have replacements for all of the early shows here, as they are of lower bitrates than the ones I post nowadays. Some of them are even 56k so I want to replace them and have every show in the same 320k VBR stereo quality.
so I can start doing that now. Already got about the first 20 shows encoded and uploaded, just aint changed the page yet!

There is a file mix-up with some of the shows: #13 downloads and is #12, #14 downloads as is #13, #15 downloads and is #14. Then all is correct at #16... but that means #15 is actually missing. Would love to get that one to hear. Any help y'all?

The link for file number 33 as an MP3 isn't a working link...so that is why it isn't clickable. I can't promise right now but I will put it on there T SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.
AS FOR THE EPISODE 15:
I just checked and it seems it is only the MEGAUPLOAD link that goes to the wrong numbered file. Oops. that is a mistake on my part. I will correct it soon OK. but if you just use one of the other options for that episode..the rar file ones, they go to the proper episode number.

I live in Sweden and only recently heard about these radio shows. Almost by accident I found the link to this site. Being an old Dylan fan I find these programs to be the most fascinating work Dylan has done in a long time. He seems so relaxed and happy. And he's showing some of that Dylanesque humor which we haven't seen since the 60's. The shows are both educational and highly entertaining. I'm very, very grateful! Thanks!!

Personally 17 is my favourite, the Porter Wagoner song that opens the set is fun, and T-Bone Burnett's Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend is awesome.

To the last commenter, when you say no 13 is not correct and is actually a copy of 12, Are you talking about the link to the PLAIN MP3 FILE, as opposed to the rar file ones?
Also which host did you download from?
It looks to me like the MP3 may be wrong but I am about 99.9999999% sure the rar file ones are the correct show.
Let me know if you can help a bit more as I can't download them to check until night time...bandwidth restrictions!

Hard to complain about this excellent resource. Thank you thank you thank you. Is there a re-post of the episode 15 (EYES)? The current MP3 link downloads a repeat of Episode 14 (DEVIL).

I had the files all mixed up, the MP3 ones I mean.
sorted now.
I deleted and reuploaded the properly named and corrected episode numbers for episodes 13, 14 and 15.

Well its nice to see someone making a cover for these...I know already a couple of people make a cover each week for the shows but I never bothered about it. Plus I never wanted to include it with mine or even link to them as they provide them along with someone else's versions of the shows.
anyway I really liked your cover as it's a good pic for it and would be great as a dvd cover with a load of shows on it etc.
however, why oh why the tiny size??
Do you have the image in a larger size because for most purposes a large resolution file is what you want, especially when you are to be printing it too.
If you do have a larger one it would be great if you put that up on flickr!
If not then I suppose enlarging might help..hehe

Hello there. I just checked the links for the 'Father' episode and it downloaded fine.
The problem you are describing is not really a problem I or anyone can help you with, it is about you entering the correct codes into the page at megaupload. I know it can be really difficult to decipher those codes sometimes but, if you gwet a code that looks particularly hard then refresh the page to get a different set of letters/numbers and if you do this then you will end up getting an easy one at some point...just keep refreshing the page until you see a code that you KNOW you will be able to enter correctly.
As far as the file downloading etc...it has been checked and all working.

Can the downloaded programs be split into the individual tracks? I just downloaded Spring Cleaning but it's one 59 minute file.
Yeah I really wish he hadn't stopped these shows. It did seem a bit sudden to be honest.
Shame. Maybe he will come back for the odd one off special or something if we are lucky eh.
Hey Mark - You CAN split these very easily if you want to.
There is a program that cuts MP3 files directly, without decoding them to WAVs first like most programs do, it is called, surprisingly, MP3 DirectCut and can be had as freeware from here.
Just open your file in there, select to highlight the part you want to save as a separate track and then choose file/save selection..then save the track. then back in the main program window, select CUT to get rid of that track from the remaining file. then select the second track, and so on. It's easy enough.
