DYLAN ON DYLAN, Westwood One Radio Station Discs, November 17, 1984

Well I am back again.
Too fast for you probably. (I am supposed to make only one post a week right?)
If you are a Bob Dylan fan (and I might guess that this is quite a likely possibility) and, if you have never heard this interview with the man himself then I would only say to you: Here is your chance.
I was amazed when I got this for the first time and I still listen to it now and then because its great!

I'm to ill to go into it in detail so let me just give you a snippet right off the tape.
Oh - some scant details for you then first:
Dylan on Dylan
Westwood One Radio Show, USA
Aired: 17 November 1984
Interview by Bert Kleinman - Ritz-Carlton Hotel, New York, N.Y., July 30, 1984
Also present was old time friend Artie Mogull who in 1962 signed Dylan up with Witmark & Sons.

Info 'stolen' from This page.

by the way, the discs are interspersed with tracks too so it's a fine set to own. Came from a 5 LP set originally. Click the covers above & below to read the details on them. Full size covers are included in the rar files.

...........................................

Dylan: I don't know if I've ever been happy if we're talking straight. I don't know ... I mean ... happy? I don't consider myself happy and I don't consider myself unhappy, I've just never thought of life in terms of happiness and unhappiness. It just never occurred to me.

B.K.: Do you think of it in terms of growth?

Dylan: No! I never think in terms of growth, I tell you what I do think though, that you never stop anywhere, there's no place to stop in. You know them places at the side of the road that you can stop, they're just an illusion.

B.K.: The road goes on ...

Dylan: Yeah, you've got to get back on the road. And you may want to stop but you can't stay there.

B.K.: When you talk about getting back on the road, isn't that in a sense growth ... or at least it's movement. From point A to point B.

Dylan: Yeah, that's growth. But what's growth? I mean everything grows, that's just the way life is, life just grows. You know, it grows and it dies, it lives and it dies. Whenever you get to a plateau, that's not it, you got to go on to the next one. You can't stay nowhere, there's no place to stay, there's no place that will keep you.

B.K.: Because of boredom or because that's the way it is?

Dylan: No, because that's just the nature of things ...

B.K.: So you see yourself just moving onward?

Dylan: I see everybody like that, I see the whole world that way. That which doesn't do that is stuff that's ... that's just dead.

B.K.: Ha ... what's that line? Those that are not busy being born are ...

Dylan: ... busy dying? What a line!

.........................................

I only uploaded it once for now but if there's a few downloads or interest in other links I will post it elsewhere, no problem. Just let me know ok.

One for the Kids! - [Horrible science - Blood, bones and body bits!] audiobook

Hello once again.
Thought I'd do something completely different today and share an old CD I found luring in a drawer somewhere. I put it on for my 7yr old son and he just absolutely loves it!
I loved it too!
It is NEVER too early to get kids learning Science!

I would like to get more in this series which probably means buying it but I have no problem buying things...hehe contrary to poular belief I am sure!

These are audibooks for kids with a difference.
The main objective here is that they learn (in some cases, quite a lot) about science and yet it is presented in such a fun way that they don't feel like it is 'learning' at all.
They love it.
It is about the human body and as such is pretty informative for kids. They then intersperse the narrative with all the bodily noises like a lot of 'squelches' and the odd farty noise which the kids love..plus some shout out the answer quiz questions you can join in with(!!hehe!!) ... it's a great book!

Here is just a two disc set that seems to have dropped off the cover of an old newspaper we got and I never got around to playing it until now. So I never got any others in the series, if there is any more that is?!

I bring you...for kids aged from about 5 or 6 to probably 10 at least,
Horrible Science Disc one - Blood, Bones and Body Bits.

Season One of theme Time Radio Hour UPDATES!

Tis' I once more...before my ISP gets cut off (I thought it would have been off already but I woke early and it was on so I got to work fast).
I just finished a long stint of replacing and updating those links for the season One Bob Dylan radio shows.
Over time I have re-collected, re-encoded and re-uploaded every damn file and finally today I can tell you about it...it has taken me so long to do the links but it is done..almost(hehe).
I got almost all of the way through them but I need to rest now but I replaced every link from show 01 right up to show 40...the ones from 40-50 were already updated with the newer versions, just that some of the mirror links may be dead but they will have working links so all is well for now.

Go get the better quality shows!
UPDATED SEASON ONE HERE!

Oh and the next show, season two, is downloading now. Only luck will allow me to complete the download and reup the MP3 before the ISP gets cut off!
I am changing ISPs as the new one I picked a month ago (talk talk) are pure shite. I cannot abide by a 40Gb limit a month. no siree bob.
so after they cut me off which is scheduled for today, I am then free to reconnect with a new one and will be doing it ASAP.
If I get my way I won't be offline for longer than ten minutes but, alas, I somehow feel it might be a bit longer than that eh.

Either way, I won't be leaving...just going away.
Ciao.

Jimi Hendrix - New York Pop '70 [Bootleg (ATM 010)]

Hello again.
Well I must thank a couple of users here, the two kind souls who offered to upload the Dylan Radio shows to mirror the links for everyone else who cannot use the rapidshare links.
These are the now infamous (if you ever read comments or the shoutbox over there) Loopyjoe and another helpful guy who provided this last episodes mirrors goes by the name BergMeisteR (see the shoutbox too).
So THANK YOU both. :)

Now other matters. My line speed with this new ISP is amazing.
It started off connecting at 5.5Mbps.
the next day it connected at 5.1Mbps.
Then 5.0Mbps.
Now I log on and it says bloody 4.9Mbps.
At this rate I'll be using an old 33K modem for a faster connection by the end of the month!
I really do not take to having a limit put on me so am definitely looking for a different ISP. I have 30 days from when I joined this one, to end the trial and go elsewhere so I am determined to do just that.

OK I suppose you only came here to see if music is ever still posted right?
(I was wondering the same myself)
I know I have been Hendrix obsessed for a while now, i apologise, it isn't a phase though, I am kind of obsessed anyway and have been for years!
Yet I am now thinking that's no excuse for only giving you Hendrix all the time. I know I could always turn it into a Hendrix blog but that isn't what it started as and I won't do that.
I think it's time to return to what the site used to be about: Posting music of all genres, styles, music I love, hate or am indifferent to just because it enhances our tastes and broadens the musical spectrum we have.
Well that was my theory anyway. And it seemed to go down well!

It's been a while since I posted any of those 'Putumayo' collection albums...or any weird or strange folk or 'ethnic' music. I like that kind of shit so I will be uploading some next OK.
(watch out! hehe)

for now though it is another Hendrix ATM.
Not only because i already uploaded these a while back either!

* * * * * *

ATM 010 - Jimi Hendrix - New York Pop '70
Some mere info copied and pasted for your perusal..
(New York Pop, Downing Stadium, Randall's Island, New York City, NY 17.07.70 [Complete Show]; 57:49) Sbd; Low Gen except Concert Intro & "All Along the Watchtower" (11): Aud; No Gen info / "Red House" (72) is remixed from "The Jimi Hendrix Concerts"
And here is the tracklist
01. Band Intro -Stone Free (6:04)
02. Fire (4:24)
03. Red House (8:04)
04. Message to Love (5:31)
05. Lover Man (2:50)
06. All Along The Watchtower (4:28)
07. Foxy Lady (5:23)
08. Ezy Rider (4:25)
09. Star Spangled Banner (3:01)
10. Purple Haze (3:46)
11. Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (7:15)
12. Stage Announcements (2:19)
Duration : 57:36

Nice sound, quality is great. Even the track 11 that is an audience recording sounds amazingly clear. Must've been some tape recorder for the time!
I really love this one as it gives a good feeling of being there. Recommended. (Yes I know I WOULD say that!)
And that's about it for today.
Unfortunately this is the last of the ATM sets I was intelligent enough to upload BEFORE the current ISP crisis. So may not be one next week!
I am still committed to sharing the whole set though!
Enjoy this one won't you. It's damn good but I would say that right.
NOTE: I seem to have messed up on my mp3 tagging..I have put ATM 009 in this instead of 010.
Dammit.
I just have to say one more thing: I wish I'd been around at the time of creating the covers for all these bootlegs because they really are shit!! I am not taking the blame for the poor cover 'art' so don't blame me if you think it sucks too, I suppose it was done in the days of windows 3.1 and strange desktop graphics apps with only two functions or something.
I really should take the time to create my own new covers for them. I might just do that with the next ATM I upload..see if anyone cares!

Talk Talk...Talk too much

aHello again.
Internet access.
It sucks.
I had no access for a few days there...wow, quite weird it was too!
There is bad news on the horizon. In fact, it isn't on the horizon, it's right here and now:
I am now on a friggin' 40GB per month limit.
That is, I am allowed to use 40GB of bandwidth a month, upload and download combined.
That might seem like a lot to some of you?
To others it might seem impossibly small.
To me it seems impossibly small but ONLY if I were to keep using the broadband bandwidth as much as I have previously. I have always had the torrent program going. I mean always.
24 hours a day.
One or two reboots of the PC a week and that's it.
Bandwidth always being used to the maximum. There have been no limits at all on my broadband package but, the company that I loved so much, that provided such great service,is, no longer and so I went to the company that bought it out: Talk Talk.
Unfortunately I should have thought about this decision a lot more than I did.
I am now in an 18-month contract with what seems to be a great deal with free telephone calls anytime of the day, line rental inclusive, web-space and a five email addresses and broadband all for the lowly price of £20 per month.
That really is some deal.
Except for the fact that in one day I can easily use 5GB or more.
The other thing is that I have now had the speed increased from 2Mbit to 6.5Mbit. So if I was to have torrents etc going I would be capable of far too much bandwidth use!
Even for me!
I am a bit pissed off that I can't keep uploading to keep my ratios good on a few torrent sites I am a member of: I didn't have perfect ratios before this and now I won't be able to fix them. Oh well. I'll get over it. Might get banned.
The other thing is I will have to stop downloading Bob Dylan bootlegs and Hendrix bootlegs in FLAC and DVD for a while.
That sucks.
So let me get to the end of this post here...

I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP OUT ON THE BOB DYLAN SHOWS PLEASE!
PLEASE?
All I am asking is for someone who doesn't have shit bandwidth limits, to download the show every week when I post it, then reupload it to megaupload or somewhere, then email the links to me and I can then carry on providing alternative links/mirrors.
Starting from this week I am posting only the one link for the show and that is at rapidshare which I know will be bad for some people.
Let me speak to these talk talk twats and find out the precise details of the limits and when they start from each month etc, then I'll probably come back and do a mirror link this week but I NEED HELP from one of YOU.
Let me know will you?
Feel free to grab this weeks show and go mirror it for everyone here who can't download from rapidshare..then post me the link at my email...
hitmewithit@gmail.com

Thank you..
I am already looking into different broadband providers as I have 30 days of this as a trial.
It will be a trial too.

A few words & An exploding Keyboard!

Let me just say a thank you to all of you who returned and have been downloading the files I put up. For those who may have a problem downloading from rapidshare or some have problems with megaupload, others with depositfiles.com. I have just finished the second part of the new Theme Time Radio post. I have posted links to all three of the sites I just mentioned and also a choice of split rar files, single rar files and even an unpacked, uncompressed MP3 file at megasupload if you prefer that.
I enjoyed his first show too. Not too shabby hehe.
Still, liked a couple of the early ones best so he has to surpass those yet. I just love the episode entitled 'Coffee' and the one called 'Drinking'. Is it purely coincidence that those two shows are about drugs of some kind?
Of course it must be.

Well, no music post tonight but business as usual(as it used to be that is) tomorrow.
Sorry but I've had a long day on the old PC things needing fixed and shit like that; keyboard blew up in a wild and scary way the other night:
Suddenly, late at night there was a loud CRACK! and a FLASH of electricity from the back of the tower unit and then...all the lights went out in the flat. Obviously the trip-switch had been thrown.
To cut a long story short, it turned out, because I had moved the PC table a bit to clean behind it and hadn't quite moved the table(with the keyboard on it) as much, the keyboards PS2 cable was actually stretched to capacity and I didn't realise it was twisted and trying to rip out of the socket. Well somehow it musty have split inside the PS2 plug and just blew. Short circuited.
I find it amazing that all of the damage was kept within the keyboard and it's cable/plug.
It was dead and had to be replaced. Yet the PC had no ill effects at all.
Thank God.
(There is a God!!)
Naah, I doubt it.

Hello and I'm back.

As the title suggests, I feel confident enough in the last few days to come here and say that I really am back at last!
Still unwell but to hell with it. I have had a pretty difficult few months and, well, let's just say I have decided to come out fighting and am having a swift change of attitude...I was getting a bit too defeatist there for a while. Kind of not giving a shit about things...resigned to being ill 24/7.
I don't think I was being weak...it just gets you sometimes and, well, if you aren't careful you can let pain and shit get the better of you..etc..etc..etc..bla.
So fuck that!
I'm back and this time it's erm...whatever.
It is no coincidence that, here I am posting this and...do you know what happened today?
You guessed it, THEME TIME RADIO HOUR season two aired it's first show in USA on satellite radio .
Hmm. I don't have satellite radio here.
But I know a man who can...or something like that.,
Just like the first season, get the show here and ?I will promise you consistent high quality MP3s every week, hopefully within a day of the radio broadcast.
I am downloading the show right now but it kind of clashes with UK night time and I am sooo tired.
It isn't what you want to hear. It isn't really what I want to type.
However, I can't wait for it. It's now 2am.
Going to sleep.
Will get up early.
Will post the new show.
You will have it in a few hours.

MUSIC FOR TONIGHT
While you're here you might as well grab this...another UK bands album of britpoppy-indie-cool-acoustic and relaxing stuff.
I like it.

Didgeridoo Music you say? OK here is David Hudson and Friends and some Inkalesh

A Didgeridoo of the artistic nature.

Another one.

Hello fellow pirates.
Once again I am still struggling here and while the pain still kicks me in the guts it will continue to be a struggle but I hope it subsides soon.
Enough of that.
I was thinking, I'd like to just do a little thing every post here where I can say what, in my opinion, is in favour that day or week and what things I hate for that week. Then you can either comment to debate or disagree or agree with me...or, as usual, just ignore me. Indulge me.

So for today I'd like to say:

A huge FUCK OFF to 'SecondLife'.
Have you heard about this shit? Are you an active member of it?
A virtual world where people spend hours and hours of their time, engrossed more in their virtual self than their real one??
Weird shit. They even start businesses, earn REAL money, etc etc. Companies are fighting for real estate and buying up land and advertising space there too.
It just gives me a kind of sick feeling.
So FUCK SecondLife and all who live there!

Also a big FUCK YOU to all those people moaning about this and that of how Princess Diana's memorial day should have been spent and if Charles' new wifey should have attended etc etc. Fuck those people. What the fuck has it got to do with 'the public' (yuk) when it is a family service? If those cnuts really were concerned or cared for Diana then they would have known the most known fact about her: She did anything for her sons. Well, her sons wanted their 'new mother' to attend the service. So that should have made it an accepted fact. but no...these mouthy pricks were all over the news and papers and radio, condemning the woman and eventually she dropped out and said she wouldn't be attending.
I am not a royalist by any stretch of the imagination but I just can't stand it when people give their opinion until it harms someone else...especially when they should just stay out of it, none of their business and all that.
So FUCK THEM, Nosey bastards.
Hmm so what is in favour then this grand sunny day?
I am listening a lot to the new Stereophonics album, Pull The Pin, which I have to say is definitely a keeper. I love it.
Try this track

Seems it harps back to the 90's for all of us die hard Oasis fans that never quite got over it! So many of the tracks sound just like those old Oasis tracks...but they are great. Kind of with a fresh sound to them too.
I'll have to post it soon. Mind you, a very unimaginative Google search brings a load of links for you to grab it by. Try these search terms:
Stereophonics +rapidshare
(that brings you a page full of sites offering the album!)
Another Creativity related choice for my second 'thumbs-up' for today:
The movies by Ray Harryhausen!!
I never got around to showing my son, who is now 7, the great animation and epic movies that are: Jason and The Argonauts, Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Clash of the Titans and others...
So this week I decided to go on a downloading spree. (for a change).
I now have quite a collection of them for him to watch.
these movies are brilliant. Oh how people used to be sooo creative in the pre-computer animation days.
Obviously the monsters on these films don't exactly look 'real' in any way but their unreal look kind of adds to the magic of the whole scenario.
If you don't know about these films then where have you been living? Under a rock?
And, why not go and get one yourself... Try these links for torrents of the best films of his.
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad-1958
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (FULL DVD size!)
Clash of the Titans
Jason And The Argonauts 1963 PAL DVDR (full 4.3Gb Sized DVD)
or Here from Pirate Bay
Earth Vs the Flying Saucers
Oh and incase you don't know, he animated the original King Kong too! Have fun!

OK OK, I know...where the hell is the music??
It's here you impatient git.

I got a few requests for me to reupload the 'Didgeridoo Dreaming' post I did a while ago. Well I couldn't because it was just a link I posted to files hosted elsewhere...not actually uploaded by me.
I have tried to find that album but I failed so I looked out some really nice Didg' music and here it is.
Highly recommended I swear.
Sit back, relax...get into some weird meditation mood..if you smoke weed, smoke some now!
Then when it's downloaded, go on a journey.
Hehe.
(If you don't smoke weed then good for you...you at least will remember the journey afterwards, unlike these dull potheads).
Let me introduce to you...
David Hudson and Friends (modern Didgeridoo musician who puts a different slant on the indigenous music of the Aborigines). Check this for info.
And secondly, but no less important I give you Inkalesh - The Dreaming Gate. Their music is also a modern slant on the traditional, it's hard to say if they adhere more to the older 'truly indigenous' music tradition or not. You must have a listen and let your brain cells decide.
More info here (though I warn you now of pretentiousness and words like 'alchemy' and 'conscience-expanding' ... etc etc!)
Speak to you again soon I hope.

Terror and Ham.

Jolly picture for you!

Hello fans.
(heh yes that was an attempt at humour)
Well a lot has been happening of late.
We have fuckin' terrorism on the move, the ever quickening pace of which worries me I have to say.
The fuckers are crazy.
Crazy and dangerous.
Yet it doesn't hurt to be reminded that we are much more likely to be hit or die by a traffic accident than ever even see a terrorist incident, let alone be harmed by one.
..
To less important matters..
I read about The Spice Girls reforming.
Reforming is a good word actually. It is the word you read on the side of a tin of cheapo Ham, you know, it says something like 'Reformed from all the shitty bits that fell on the slaughterhouse floor, including anus, testicles and eyeballs.'
Well I think that is a bit like the Spice girls. They are definitely reformed.
They suck.
(So I've heard)
Not one of them has any talent as far as I can tell but...let's not waste space talking about reformed ham.
It just pissed me off greatly when I read in the same article that Geri Halliwell bought each of them a £2000 gold ring as a gift.
Why and what the fuck do they want or need with that?
If I were in the newspapers like those idiots I would much prefer it to be for giving people who need it my money, like walking into a local youth centre for kids that need help and just giving a few quid over.
The selfish act of spending £2000 on each of your rich friends and that being reported in the news instead...that would make me shudder if it were anyone I knew.
Am I talking shit you think?
It just gets my goat. These fuckwits patting each other on the back. Obviously they probably won't wear the ring and would forget they even had it after an hour. Why don't these cnuts with money to waste, help people with no money to live?
Then on the same page incidentally, I read that Robbie Williams gives 1.5Million pounds to a local drug and therapy centre for young people.
Well well.
That kind of helps my point.
OK I'll shut it now.
In fact, I went on so much I kind of shadowed the sheer brilliance of this next album I will be sharing with you so I have just decided to end this one here as a rant and start a new one.
Please, feel free to give your two cents as I would be interested to read opinions...especially - what do you make of this terrorist misadventure that is suddenly hitting us? Are you scared by it?
Anyway..that's all for this one.

Feel free to check out the links below anyway though.

GUITAR TABS ILLEGAL? SONY and the MPA.

I suppose I should apologise for my absence.
Consider it done. :)
I have a couple of moans in my brain today so here goes....

R.I.P
After looking into the whole problem of guitar TABS and chords and how they are now under threat (and sites that offer them already closed down in many cases), all this apparently due to them being in breach of 'copyright' law. I discovered one point of interest... as usual it is large business interests that lead the attempt to stop fellow musicians from trading their Chord lists and TAB sheets. As someone said in the comments of a previous post here, I have to totally disagree with this, that they are in breach of ANY fucking law when the fact is that most of these transcriptions of songs into a page of chords, etc are created by individuals who play, and transcode, by ear. Often they get it wrong, lots of Tabs are incorrect but still a huge help to musicians. Yet the point that they are in breach of copyright doesn't stand up. they are not copies as such. Especially if they are incorrect representations of a song right?
Is a thought illegal?
How about singing a song to yourself whilst walking down the street...is that illegal?
Is telling someone or showing them a group of chords illegal?
Singing another artists song at home...illegal?
Obviously not right. Yet giving away the SAME INFO to people IS illegal.
Hmmf.
Bollocks I say.
Look at it from another angle:
Helping musicians to learn to play songs, by other artists, can ONLY lead to one thing right. That is, they will then go on to play those songs. That is guaranteed (unless they are so shit they can't learn them of course! -not me!).
So, a musician learns another's song. He/she then goes on to play that song.
This could be that he plays it at home for his family.or he may play it in the street as a busker or, he may be a member of a band and they will play that song as a cover and include it in their repertoire.
I don't know/care if any of the aforementioned are illegal because; Another fact to consider which is an important one here; Anyone hearing a song that they like a lot will, it follows, usually want to hear that song again. If I ever played an obscure Beatles track when I was busking it would most times result in people coming over and asking me about the song. Which always resulted in getting a pen and paper and them going away with the track and album name. I assume they planned on buying it!
How does this chain of events in any way threaten the interests of the music Corp's?
It doesn't.
It fucking HELPS them if anything!
It sends people in their direction. Maybe not the guitarists who trade and share chords and TAB but the end result is ALWAYS going to be the same as outlined above!
Try telling the MPA (Music Publishers Association) that though eh!

Unsurprisingly, one culprit in this witch hunt against TAB/Chord sites is none other than...
SONY.
You know, the rootkit/virus CD company?
More specifically though, is their contention that certain songs by The Beatles are not to be tabbed..
Fuckers.
Don't misunderstand me here. I love The Beatles. John Lennon fascinates me and I sometimes feel emotional when I think of how his life ended as I am sure a lot of people do.
The Beatles Apple Corporation on the other hand are no heroes of mine and shouldn't be yours. SONY are worse. They represent a lot that is so fucking wrong today in this whole messed up media world.
I hate EVERYTHING they do and stand for.
No WAY would John Lennon be this way about his music. Absolutely no way.
Fuck them.
I plan to post just about as much of The Beatles whole back catalogue over the coming weeks/days as I can.
Look at it as some small protest at the horrors of Corporate weight throwing and intimidation where it is unwarranted.
I'm not TOTALLY stupid though so hang on!
I will not upload, rip or copy a single thing by The Beatles. Instead I will, for a little while be posting some 'information links' for you which will be the result of exhaustive searches of already available public information. All I will be doing is listing those 'information links' for you here in one pace so that you might follow them and enjoy what you find.
It is about time they grew up and respected the people in their millions who made it possible to even have something called The Beatles Apple Corp.
They don't give a fuck about the people and I'd hazard a guess they don't give a fuck about the music either. They care about money. Profit.
They strong-arm so many people and intimidate, threaten anyone who attempts to use their music or (gasp!) put it on sites like this one. (OK they might have a point there).
Not this one though, not this time.
Last time I looked, providing information in the form of links is NOT ILLEGAL. If those links are taken from another site or Google and are, as such, freely available and what you could call PUBLIC data already then that is not illegal.
So let me give you a warm welcome to the best Beatles Discography on any site. Information links only you understand right?

Can I just remind you that The Beatles Apple Corporation are still one of the few bands/companies that you cannot get at any legal music site. They refuse to allow the likes of iTunes to even offer their music.
Are they stupid?
They think that this will somehow help any situation of piracy??!
As you and I know it can only add to, or even create a situation of digital music piracy whilst they refuse to get involved with the digital age at the same time as digital music, mp3, iTunes, etc etc becomes the current way of distributing and selling music to the public worldwide! (I have a little experience in these matters so I am aware that there is a problem with piracy).
I sympathise. I really do.
A step into the area of guitarists swapping notes is, for me, a step too far.
Fuck The business interests.
Let's just enjoy playing our friggin' guitars dammit.

I'm sorry ... were you expecting a music link in this post??

OK grab this as it's great:

I found a brilliant site that has a load of arabic artists albums for download the other day. I just picked the first one..well the first attractive woman on an album cover that is, and I have to say I really love the album dammit!!
It is beautiful. A real modern take on what I know to be Arabic music.
It's like they kept the traditional sounds and instruments in there whilst updating the whole thing and, I assume, it is some sort of Arabic Pop music.
It has relaxing bass lines and ambient sounds, mixed with a kind of modern R&B type groove (which I usually shy away from) and then, like I said, that real grit sound of the trad' Arabic atmosphere.
the whole thing is held together very very well by the stunning and beautiful vocals of this gorgeous woman who's album it is!
Don't miss out...try it now!

Technicalities Dealt With...Music OVERDOSE Tomorrow!

Well I made it!
Phew.
That was a friggin' headache.

Anyway I finally got all the programs I know and love reinstalled and I am now running a most beautiful version of windows XP SP2 (or Pre-SP3 apparently) known as WESMOSIS PRE SP3 XP PRO.

I am including a screenshot of the desktop just to show you.
It is a great install and I HIGHLY recommend it to all.
Of course you will only install it if you already own a fully legal XP PRO license and I would never suggest otherwise.
Actually I don't really give a shit one way or the other.
What I do like is that this guy, wesmosis, has created a very nice XP Disc Image which you just get a hold of, burn to a CD and then use it like any other XP disc.
The beauty in this one is that it comes with lots of useful programs already installed and ready to use when the installer is finished.
So..after about 35minutes and only a couple of interventions from me, the PC rebooted for the third or so time and then it was finished.
Into the desktop.
With Nero, ACDSee, Messenger programs, Office 2003, AntiVirus, Antispyware and Bsplayer mediaplayer, winmedia player 11...erm..and more!
Did I mention that I never once saw a prompt for an activation code or any of that shit?

(Actually I removed a few things to replace them with the apps I prefer and I have to say I never really had much use for WinMedia player).
Anyway click on the image below for a look at full sized image of the nice clean desktop!

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

It comes with a built in theme too...the one you see there. Looks so much better than the way I used to have XP in the old 'classic ' mode!
If you like the idea then check it out! or HERE
Like I alluded to in the title of this post...
There will be a MUSIC OVERDOSE HERE TOMORROW.
I know there are a million MP3 blogs nowadays and yes, I know that loads of them offer a constant stream of albums, every hour, every day, updates updates updates....but hey! You know one thing, if you get more frequent updates from me I will make sure they are quality!

Still Taking YOUR Requests so come on...ask away please!

Technical Interlude...

It seems I am always fucking about doing something else besides actually updating this place with music...but it aint like that really...is it?
Anyway, it has been bothering me for some time now. My PC suffered some multiple virus infection a month ago or so and it was just in a moment of stupidity. I forgot I had disabled security stuff to access some crack sites..And so I got infected, loads of shit started happening on screen. I shut the internet off...to cut a L-O-N-G story much much shorter, basically LOADS of things were wrecked and ruined in my windows XP Pro installation. the context menu was all changed...there were files all over the place. there was some real hard to deal with stuff immediately after it happened but, I pride myself on never resorting to antivirus if I can, I prefer to learn and remove these things manually.
I managed to do so within an hour which was bloody good.
However, the aftermath is another story. Since it happened I have been methodically going through things that were ruined and, where I can, fixing them and I must say LEARNING SOOO MUCH (these virus writers are bloody geniuses it has to be said. Unfortunate but it is true).
Anyway I digress...I have decided due to the corrupt right click context menu that I use so much, not being in any working or fixable state any more and also a strange unfixable hanging screen that happens when I right click certain files...(yes I have been conversing with experts from all the tech forums I know and reading loads and no, they are not fixable!) I have decided to reinstall from scratch.
Before you ask...why didn't I backup?!
I did.
In fact I STILL have the complete backed up emergency image of my C: drive sitting there if I wanted to use it!
The thing is, the PC is getting pretty full of software and crap these days so I am thinking of a reinstall anyway so this has just helped me to decide that's all.
I ALWAYS back up the C: drive, every night after hours it is copied to another drive as a whole image. I recommend it to you. Use acronis True Image. It is the easist way to recover a messed up PC!
So I have been backing up setings for all the programs I like to use and also saving stuff like My Documents and favourites and all that other crap...for three days now, making sure I get everything!
Then I created a dvd with every setup file and installer for every program I like to have installed on any PC I work on. LOTS of programs! I am amazed at the number of them I really do use often.
Anyway that took a bit of working out!
So..to get to the end of this ramble all that remains is for me to tell you that I am finished putting off the inevitable and I am now ready to go ahead and take the plunge.
so!
Tomorrow morning when I get up and am ready to start, I am going to wipe this hard drive and start anew.
Hopefully I will be able to log back online by the afternoon and post the next two albums I plan to share.
Wish me luck.
(At least if it goes horribly wrong then I CAN use he c: drive image and within minutes I will have a working XP Pro from a few weeks ago. Only if I cannot get the new install to work!)
Wow, that was a bloody long story eh.

New Service! Longer Lasting simpler to download links!! Hooraaay!

Hello friends..I just thought I'd drop in to let you know there is a great new filehosting distribution service and I love it already.

To put it simply, I upload a file to the new site and then, their system automatically uploads it to four other different free file-hosting sites like RS, MegaUpload, Sendspace, Upfile, etc etc. Yet I only have to upload to the first site!
Also, if you great people use the links to the first site and then, when you get to the page, just choose one of the four from a list in front of you, then, the system will keep checking the other file hosts and if the files get deleted from any of them, whilst the file is still being requested by you lot, then the system will RE-Upload the file to the hoster that deleted it!
What a brilliant idea eh!
So you will be seeing a lot of links to sharebee from now on!
Just to make the point clear...check out the following link to the latest Theme Time radio hour show. I posted it there after already spending all day uploading it to many other sites myself...(I hadn't discoverede ShareBee yet!) but go see how many options you get from this single uploaded, single link:
Theme Time Radio 46

I can see the future now.
The free filehoster sites have taken over on a huge scale but now someone has had a better idea. Take the files and then automatically redistribute them! Then, all of the web traffic that usually goes to these extremely successful hosting sites, will be coming to the redistribution sites too...because people want their links to last!
Mark my words, this isn't actually the first site like this (ftp2share was an attempt but it didn't quite do it, not like this one!) and I guarantee you it won't be the last.
Look out for loads of these distribution sites soon.
Aaah...isn't it wonderful!
